Hey, I was just wondering if I could ask some advice about buying your own domain - like getting a .com or a .co.uk instead of a .blogspot.co.uk.
I remember about a year ago you could do it via blogger, there was a button saying it cost £10 (or something) for the year. Stupidly I left it and now you can't do it through blogger.
Does anyone know how to do it? Does it affect the way you edit your blog or how your blog is run? I don't want to do something wrong and ruin my blog!
Thanks

Hiya Courtney
There are loads of different providers you can buy your domain from - and they all come with different management dashboards etc. I use Go Daddy at the moment for my blog, but have used others in the past.
Cost varies wildly depending on the popularity of your domain name - and the value the provider places upon it. So you could pay anywhere from £7 to £14 a year really - but that also varies on whether you want .com or .co.uk etc etc!
It doesn't affect the way you edit your blog if you use Blogger. The only settings you need to alter are on one page, and blogger has a walkthrough help topic (it's really simple, promise!).
People could still access your blog via the blog spot address also, if your domain hoster ever had issues (can happen).
Trying to think if anything else is useful... Depending on provider and cost, you can also get email addresses and webmail, security/business certification - all sorts really.
Good luck!
